"For I was hungry................
and you gave me to eat".  (Matthew: 25:35)
This year our Church family thought it would be a good idea to partner with the Christmas Cheer board to help out some of our families in our community.  We asked to help out two families in Transcona.  We started collecting for the families in October so by December the pile of donated new items was overwhelming.  We also received donations to help buy the last few items needed to top off our hampers.  Some of the young people from our youth group said they would help with delivering the hampers.  It was appreciated since between the two families there were at least 20 boxes that had to be delivered.  When we went to the first home we began bringing in the boxes and gifts.  At first the mother was laughing at how much was brought in but by the time we finished she was crying.  She hugged everyone that helped.  We then went to the second home and once again we received the same reaction.  It is one thing to be so happy that you laugh for joy.  I never expected people to break down and cry.  This will definitely be ingrained as one of the best memories I had for Christmas 2011.
